Project Sandy Brake Pipes

Today I replaced the front brake pipes on the Land Rover.  I decided to replace the pipes with some Goodrich +2 inch extended pipes as I will be looking to increase my suspension height in the near future so I though I may aswell go for the + now rather then later.  I decided to replace the pipes in the first place because the old rubber ones seem to be allowing for more travel in the pedal and braking felt a little ‘roomy’ if that makes sense, well they are 25 years old!

Swapping the pipes around is easy, simply take the wheel off, undo the pipe at both ends (undo the locking nut and unscrew the brake pipe from the actual brake to the brake pipe system).  Pop the new pipe in, screw things backup and bleed the system.

Things still feel abit soft.  The front and rear pads are Mintext performance ones and there isn’t any air in the system.  The fluid itself has been completely renewed throught the system.  I am thinking I might need to look at the servo so will give an update when that’s done.

Update: Yer, I have hardly any rear brake shoes so she is off the road for now
